ABOUT
Me
Life has a funny way of working out for the best, if you learn to pivot. Before I started college, I was set to be a dance major, but I broke my foot a week before classes began. Four years later, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Communications. After that, I was in law school pregnant with my second child and knew I would take a semester off when he was born. Of course, I planned to go back. Three kids later (five in total), I don't have a law degree, but I've owned a gym and a few other businesses along the way.
Today, I am what I call an "accidental restauranteur". My parents own a wholesale seafood business in Mayport, Florida and when a tenant abandoned their restaurant and market on the property my husband and I decided, why not? We now own three restaurants and a seafood market with plans to increase our branding of one of the concepts to merchandising. It's become a strength of mine to learn from mistakes, and yes, from failures. In fact, I cherish my failures because they have paved the way for my life today.
I'm a wife, mother, lover of animals, books and travel and I intend to always keep learning and growing. My love for my family and friends is fierce, and while working with family is not for the faint of heart, it suits me. I can't wait to find out what I decide to do next. Helping coach women who have dreams but don’t know where to begin is a something I can see happening in my near future.
